The working principle of sand mixer mainly involves the process of mixing and pulverizing of materials, which is achieved by the relative motion of the milling wheel and the milling disc or other working parts. These machines are commonly used in the casting process to uniformly mix the components in the molded sand and to allow the binder to effectively coat the surface of the sand grains. The specific modus operandi is as follows:
Movement of the milling wheel and the milling disc: sand mixing machines utilize the relative motion between the milling wheel and the milling disc to pulverize and mix the material. This movement makes the material placed between them to be crushed and ground, thus realizing the crushing and mixing of the material.
Different Types of Sand Blenders: There are various types of sand blenders such as tumbling wheel type, oscillating wheel type and vane type. Different types of sand mixers differ in mixing effect and productivity.
For example, in addition to the mixing effect, the wheel mixer also has a rolling and rubbing effect, although the production efficiency is lower, but the quality of sand is better; while the blade type sand mixer is characterized by high efficiency, mainly used for large production volume and the quality of sand is not particularly high requirements of the occasion.
Material Handling: In the sand mixing process, old sand, new sand, binder and auxiliary materials are added into the sand mixer to realize uniform mixing through the movement of the machine and effectively coat the surface of the sand grains, so as to improve the overall quality of the sand.
These working principles make the sand mixer an indispensable equipment in the casting process, which plays a key role in controlling the quality and cost of the molded sand.
